Town Lot 259

3 Beach Street, next to the Australia Hotel, is currently a one-storey building the tenant of which was a retailer of sheepskin products. The sign over the door now says Youth Place.

Physical Description
Single storey painted (face brick sides) brick and parapeted roof building has a zero setback from the pavement.
History
The lot was vacant until 1920/21 when an office and warehouse was erected on the lot for Horace Edgar Hoffin. (Rate Books, Fremantle Library)
Statement of Significance
The place is a modest example of a commercial building dating from the inter war period that makes a contribution to the Fremantle Port streetscape.
