Perth Esplanade

It was reclaimed (1921-35) from the river and most of it has now been returned, as Betty Jetty, aka Elizabeth Quay, a monument to the conservative government of the time.

1948. On the Esplanade are cricket pitches and the greens of the Perth and Tattersalls Club, founded 1895, the oldest lawn bowls club in the state.  Its greens are now on Plain Street, East Perth.
