NORTHAM, Nov. 25. Death of an Old Colonist. - One more of the few remaining original settlers has passed away. Mr. Richard Jones, to whom we refer, arrived here in the ship Lotus, in the latter part of 1829 - the year of the proclamation of the colony. He therefore was one of the pioneer colonists, and experienced a full share of the trials and hardships which befel those who were the first to land here. For several years past Mr. Jones had lived at the Blackwood, and up to a short time ago, although very aged, he continued hale and hearty. His remains were conveyed to Bunbury, and were afterwards brought up by a vessel to Fremantle. The funeral, which took place on Tuesday, Nov. 21, was largely and most respectably attended; nothwithstanding the short notice that was given.
