He was to be bailiff in charge of works for Lautour, but the venture failed. Worked as a labourer. To Victoria.
Cox appears at #857 in the 1832 Census with his wife and three children: John, Richard, and Emily; George having died. He is said to be from Bruntworth, which does not exist, and may be a typo for Brockworth, Gloucester.
Listed in Errington (2023) as being jailed on the Marquis of Anglesea, 12 March 1830, for misconduct as a servant.
