Craig Ross is running for election to the Fremantle City Council for City Ward in the October 2021 elections. This is his platform statement.
I am a forensic accountant with the professional expertise to scrutinise the City's current financial position, rate setting process, budget priorities, property transactions, and to ensure transparent financial reporting. I am committed to addressing heritage, economic, tourism and business development initiatives, and improved local community services and clean, safe amenities and streets.
I live in City Ward, and am treasurer and committee member of Fremantle Inner City Residents Association and actively involved in resident advocacy. Like many ratepayers, I have watched in dismay that Fremantle cannot reach its potential. Years of mismanagement have left the City and its finances in a perilous state.
